The Adventures of Walking Home Together
Me: Did Jane leave without us?
Mike: I guess so...that wasn't very nice of her!
Me: I'm going to write her a strongly worded text message! *start to text*
ringgggggggg ringggggggg
Me: Hello?
Jane: Where are you guys? Did you leave without me?
Me: I was just writing you an angry text about leaving without us! Where are you?
Jane: In front of the music room.
Me: We're in the same part of the hall...I can see you!
*we both hang up*
...Walking home after...
Me: Hey Jane, I finally managed to get a call on time, because the phone was in my hands when it started ringing!
Jane: ...wow.

Otesha
The Otesha Project is a youth-led organization that mobilizes and equips Canadians to create local and global change through individual and collective choices. I’ve taken a workshop with these guys, and seen their production. It’s really quite a cool experience/program/idea. I’m thinking about applying to be a part of one of their globally aware cycling acting troupes some time...

I'm having one of those moment
Letting go of things feels good. My feelings don’t change slowly very often, it’s usually lightening fast. One of these days I need to write a poem about joy, or a description, because I haven’t found one that clicks with me yet. I have a problem with keeping too many thoughts in my head that’s tied to not letting go of things. I write lists and journal entries and blog...

Sisi
It’s easy to say time fixes everything, but it’s not really that simple. Sure, it can help, but if you really cared about someone, trusted them, loved them, and they betray you, it hurts a lot for a long time. There was a guy I was friends with a long time ago. He lived in a different country, and I never met him, and so it might seem like it was an unimportant friendship on the...

The first time I remember eating a pomegranate was with my friend Eowyn. It was a special treat at Christmas and we each got half. I’d looked forward to it all day even though we had to eat it at the table so we didn’t make a mess. It was like a treasure hunt to find all the seeds. I’ve loved them ever since.

Last night I drempt
That aliens were taking over the world, it started slowly but we were weak and they were powerful. But then they turned life in to a game, and you had to be good to get points, and every one of us needed a certain number of points if we wanted to stay alive. There were little counters in our pockets that had our number of points and the projected number we were capable of getting. It was sink or...

This is the poem...
Madness A bomb is buried in the center of my heart I’m set on self destroy And they did it Acid is running through my veins Boiling the blood in my brain My skin is searing hot to the touch Sweat is running in to my eyes I wonder if the last breaths of a murdered man Are as shaky As the breaths of his murder before the deed is done. Why me? Why don’t they care? What did I do wrong? They...

Sometimes I feel like crying when anyone is sweet or sincere or tender towards me. They’re the smallest moments, probably seen as inconsequential from the outside. But it’s like this poem I wrote when I was sad and lonely and confused. The last line was “you forgot to tell me I’m okay.” but now I’ve been told. Maybe it shouldn’t matter so much, what...

A thought to work on
I hardly ever notice unpleasant character traits people have until they’re pointed out to me. Same with situations. However, I find that once negative things have been pointed out to me, I adopt those perceptions a little too easily, and sometimes forget about the other side (unless someone else points it back out to me.) I think I need to work on being less influence-able. Learn to fight...

Attention Twilight Fans (And Everyone Else Who's...
domesticnoise: perpetualthoughts: I enjoyed twilight, but found it poorly written, repetitive and drawn out. Due to its huge popularity however there are tons of new books coming out about vampires and other non-humans relationships with humans. I’ve found it difficult to distinguish the interesting, well written books from ones that are just trying to coast on twilight’s coat tails. Here are...

Coming home from Lindsey and Jessica's Top Secret...
Me: I've just realized, you all sound like dolphins! In fact I can't listen to you without hearing dolphins.
Mike: Oh no! Our secret is out!
Alicia: We'll have to go to space and sing thanks for all the fish!
*everyone laughs and sounds like dolphins some more*
Alicia: Wow, I DO sound like a dolphin!

I really liked the first style the first style that came up when I was looking for elegant dresses in art. I even like the name! I like this outfit. Me and Leppie thought this guy looked like a cool kid. I like the bottom right hand corner picture of this innocent looking girl. I found pictures of a cute boy, a cute nerdy boy with glasses, a cute boy with glasses and wavy hair AND a stylish...

My hair is so charged with static electricity that it crackles when I run my hair through it. It’s been sticking to my face all day, but on the plus side it’s quite shiny, and otherwise obedient.

Stories
In psychology I’m learning about Nature vs. Nurture right now and I’ve been thinking back to my childhood. I’ve always loved reading and I believe books played a role in shaping who I am. I learned lessons in confidence, honesty, generosity, hope, sharing and imagination’s power through riddles, fairytales, legends and art. Here are the picture books I remember most fondly....

The Christmas Dance
Last week I went to my first high school dance, it was sort of one of those experiences I moved here to get. It wasn’t exactly what I expected, but I wasn’t really sure what to expect anyways. Here’s the summary. I showed up alone a little bit after 6:30, and there were lots of people already there. I bumped in to some friends, Aspen, Katie and Stef right away. We waited in line...
